Lean for Administration and Office Applications

with Hands-on Simulations

Participants will:

Be able to define Lean and begin to apply Lean to Administrative Processes
Differentiate between value added and non-value added activities in administrative process
Identify waste and how it impacts Administrative Processes
Identify the common Lean tools that can best apply to Administrative Processes
 Create a Current State Value Stream Map for less complex Administrative Processes
 Apply Lean waste reduction to Administrative Processes through a hands-on simulation.
 

Audience

Lean Office training does not require a high level of Lean knowledge and is suitable to any organization regardless of their lean deployment/implementation.  The course is appropriate for all organizations including manufacturing companies, banks, colleges, government agencies, non-profits, and public relations, marketing and consulting firms. 

 

Course Structure

The course is 8.5 hours including a 30 minute lunch period. The maximum number of participants is 13. The minimum number of participants is 5.

The course includes both training and simulation exercises to demonstrate how students can apply the improvement process to their own work environment.  

The course shows how the current work pattern(s) can be analyzed, improved and developed into an optimal work pattern.  The course helps the work team to focus on a series of improvements in rapid succession to identify the correct work pattern using visual management to deploy the changes.

 

Cost*: $200 per person (plus tax)

The workshop is 8 hours with 30 min. lunch provided. 

 

*Project days are available to attendees/companies requesting assistance from SDMTS in implementing Lean Office in their organization for an additional fee. Fee schedule for project days are customized based on company size and scope of work requested.
