What is the Lean Enterprise Certification Program?
This program helps manufacturers build internal capacity by providing their key staff with a working knowledge of the principles and practices of Lean. Achieving a Lean Knowledge Certificate consists of a combination of classroom instruction, practical application, and a final examination.
Why Lean Enterprise Certification?
Lean Enterprise Certification is used to assist manufacturers in preparing their workforce for developing and implementing Lean initiatives. The Certification provides workers with knowledge, credentials, and a nationally recognized certification – a standards examination developed by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), and the Shingo Institute – provides manufacturers with a qualified workforce who understands and can enable Lean.
