What is a Cobot?
A collaborative robot or “cobot” is simply a type of robot that can work closely among humans. Some distinctions cobots have from traditional robots are their safety functions, intuitive programming, and economical price point. Many collaborative robots are also lightweight which makes them easy to transport throughout the manufacturing plant. Cobots are great for completing repetitive pick and place tasks and upskilling employees to work in more fulfilling roles within the company. Cobots allow companies to become more efficient and better utilize their resources.
